Shipping Rules

Subscription Orders:

Each chocolate subscription box ships within three business days of your purchase. The next order will generate on the first of the following month.

If you subscribe between the 23rd and 31st, your first box will ship within three business days, but your next box won’t arrive until the following month’s cycle. For example, if you subscribe on January 23, your first box ships right away, and your next renewal or prepaid order will process on March 1. This spacing helps prevent boxes from arriving too close together.

All subscription renewals and prepaid orders are processed on the first of each month and ship within three business days with complimentary shipping.

During the cooler months, orders are sent using standard 3–5 business day delivery, while in the warmer months, we use two-day delivery to help ensure your chocolate arrives in perfect condition.

During warmer months, a $5.50 Temperature Protection fee is added to each shipment requiring insulated packaging and cold packs to maintain optimal conditions in transit. This fee is automatically applied from May through September, and may extend based on regional weather.

In regions experiencing extreme heat (90°F or above), shipments may be temporarily paused until conditions improve. Subscribers may also choose to pause their own deliveries during these times to ensure the best possible experience.

Individual Chocolate Bar Orders:

Individual chocolate bar orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Orders over $75 include free shipping. During the cooler months, we ship using standard 3–5 business day delivery, while in the warmer months, all orders are upgraded to two-day delivery. We may offer expedited options at checkout, such as two-day or overnight delivery. Please note that these options refer to transit time only; all orders still require 2–3 business days to process before shipping.

Orders are shipped Monday through Wednesday during warm weather only, to ensure timely delivery and protect the quality of your chocolate.

Please note that we are not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier.

Shipping Locations:

Our chocolates are available for delivery throughout the United States and Canada. Please note that select bars may vary by market, as availability differs between regions. Orders are shipped with trusted carriers such as FedEx, UPS, USPS and Canada Post depending on the destination, weather conditions, and the shipping method selected at checkout.

Returns:

We offer a 24-hour refund policy from the time your order is received. Refunds are available only for manufacturing defects or delivery damage; we’re unable to provide refunds based on personal taste preferences.

To request a refund, simply email us at contact@kekao.co with photos of the issue. If approved, we’ll process your refund promptly.
